The Heart of the Work

A Touch of Intention is built on a simple idea: the way we touch, move, and care for the body matters when it is done with awareness.

In a world that often moves quickly and unconsciously, this practice invites a slower pace, where attention, presence, and care guide the work.

Each session is approached not just as a treatment, but as a shared process between practitioner and client.

The Role of Intention

Intention is central to this practice.

Clients are invited to consider what they hope to receive from each session. Sometimes that intention is physical and works at relieving tension, restoring mobility, or calming the nervous system. Other times it may be more subtle: reconnecting with the body, slowing down, or simply allowing space to reset.

At the same time, the practitioner approaches the session with intention as well, to listen carefully to the body and respond with skill, attention, and presence.

Touch With Awareness

Touch is one of the most direct ways we communicate with the body.

When offered with attention and care, it can help the nervous system settle, soften long-held tension, and restore a sense of balance.

Within this practice, touch is not rushed or mechanical. It is responsive, attentive, and guided by what the body communicates in the moment.

Living With Intention

The philosophy behind A Touch of Intention extends beyond the massage table.

Caring for the body is also about how we move, breathe, rest, and respond to stress in everyday life. Influenced by therapeutic bodywork and yoga philosophy, this practice encourages a more mindful relationship with the body over time.

The goal is not only to help people feel better, but to help them become more aware of what their bodies need.

The Vision

A Touch of Intention is ultimately about supporting a deeper relationship with the body.

While therapeutic massage remains the foundation of the practice, the long-term vision includes integrating elements of movement, breathwork, and teachings inspired by yoga philosophy.

The intention is to create a space where bodywork, awareness, and mindful care work together to support lasting well-being.
